Big Daddy Weave

In the past ten years, Big Daddy Weave’s easy, bluesy approach to rock has resulted in seven albums and a rich story of faith. The band all grew up in church and have a deep commitment to proclaim Jesus.

It wasn’t until Big Daddy Weave took a trip to Ecuador with World Vision that the band members felt the connection between their faith and the relief work being done there. The trip inspired and ignited a passion in their songwriting the band said they were lacking the months before. It also impacted band personally.

“Sometimes I think we put the cart before the horse,” lead singer Mike Weaver said. “We want to see folks act like they’re changed, maybe even before God does the changing. But if a tree is healthy, fruit just grows naturally. It’s not a forced endeavor, but it doesn’t happen all at once. It’s a life long process. God is as much concerned with every step of the journey as He is with the destination. These songs were born out of seeing just how badly we still need Jesus.”

Big Daddy Weave is scheduled to hit the road fall 2011 with Kerrie Roberts and Luminate on their Love Come to Life tour, sponsored by World Vision.
